Merz Akademie Hochschule für Gestaltung, Kunst und Medien, Stuttgart – Staatlich anerkannt
Recognizing and Shaping
The Merz Academy offers a forward-looking education committed to both an advanced understanding of media authorship and the professional skills required in the broad field spanning art and media technology. With the Merz Academy’s strong focus on the disciplines of the humanities, social sciences, and cultural studies, as well as design, art, and technology, the institution positions itself as an innovative learning environment that bridges the gap between a traditional art academy, a design school, and a humanities faculty. The program focuses on film and video, new media, and visual communication, with a special emphasis on theory and cultural studies. The Merz Academy counts its high student-to-faculty ratio and the communicative and supportive atmosphere fostered by all participants among its strengths.
