FOM Hochschule für Oekonomie & Management – University of Applied Sciences

With approximately 45,000 students, FOM is one of the largest universities in Europe. Founded by the nonprofit Foundation for International Education and Science, it offers working professionals, apprentices, high school graduates, and international students high-quality, practice-oriented academic programs—regardless of their life circumstances, profession, or place of residence. FOM is state-recognized and offers more than 60 accredited bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. FOM has more than 30 campus locations throughout Germany, including one in Stuttgart.

Degree programs from six academic fields

FOM’s academic offerings encompass six fields of study: Business & Management, Business & Psychology, Business & Law, IT Management, Engineering, and Health & Social Sciences. Students can choose between the “Campus Study+” program, which features in-person lectures in lecture halls supplemented by live virtual lectures, and the location-independent “Digital Live Study” program. In many degree programs, students can switch between the two study models before the start of each semester.

Since its founding, it has maintained close ties with companies, local governments, and professional associations. All FOM faculty members draw on their own practical experience, teach academic theory using practical examples, and incorporate the perspectives of working students into their teaching.
