Science Festival 2026: WissenWOW! Your Future in Focus

From June 30 to July 3, the “WissenWOW! Your Future in Focus” event series offered a wide range of insights into current topics in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology (STEM) as well as artificial intelligence at Stuttgart’s Marktplatz and at schools throughout the region.

As part of the Science Festival, the member universities of the Association of the Stuttgart Higher Education and Science Region (Hochschul- und Wissenschaftsregion Stuttgart e. V.) organized a diverse program featuring workshops, hands-on activities, exhibitions, and interactive events. The goal was to make science accessible and engaging, and, in particular, to show high school students new perspectives for their educational and career paths.

The interactive activities were very well received by teachers, students, and the general public. The hands-on activities and direct insight into science and research were particularly appreciated.

The event highlighted just how diverse, innovative, and forward-looking the Stuttgart higher education region is. At the same time, it demonstrated how important direct dialogue between academia and society is for sparking curiosity, providing guidance, and inspiring young people to engage with issues of the future. The numerous positive responses confirm the success of the format and underscore the value of collaborative science communication in the region.
